How does the funeral plan provider invest the money?
Ideally, you should choose a provider that is registered with the Funeral Planning Authority (FPA), the organisation set up to regulate prepaid funeral plan providers in the industry to ensure companies are operating in a way that will ensure customers are getting the funeral they have paid for.
All FPA providers will either invest the money you’ve paid for the plan into a Trust Fund or into a 'whole of life' insurance policy. This means that if anything happens to the funeral plan provider, or they go out of business, the money you paid for the plan will be kept safe.
It’s not advisable to choose a plan with an unregistered provider. If you do, you should make sure you understand how your money is safeguarded.

Does the plan allow you to personalise your funeral?
At Simplicity, we’re changing the way funerals are arranged, giving you greater choice and flexibility in how your loved ones remember your life. We don’t want to take away the sentiment and remembrance that comes with a traditional funeral, but we do believe there is an alternative way.
This is something that not all funeral providers will accommodate.

What would happen if your details changed or you moved house?
You should update your details with your provider as soon as possible. Depending on the provider and your circumstances, additional charges may apply as some funeral plan providers only offer their services locally. For this reason, it is advisable to go with an established nationwide company.
As a nationwide funeral provider, your Simplicity Cremations funeral plan will not be affected if you move to another address within mainland Great Britain. Give us a call to notify us of your change of address and we will update our system accordingly.
