Our Essential Cremation Plan costs £1,800 when you pay in a single payment. You can also pay monthly: £79.16 a month for 24 months, £1,900 in total, including a £100 instalment fee.

We judge value on what you get for the price, not the price alone.

You choose the crematorium. With our Essential Cremation Plan, you choose which of our 45 crematoria carries out the cremation. It can be one close to home, or one that means something to you. Pure Cremation, Co-op, Golden Leaves, Distinct Cremation and Memoria don't give you the option to choose the crematorium.

No cancellation fee. Plans bought from 5th October 2026 have no cancellation fee if you change your mind. Co-op charges £125, Pure Cremation £350, Memoria £95, Distinct Cremations £275, and Golden Leaves £325 to cancel after the first 30 days for plans paid in full, however not all providers charge a cancellation fee.

Room to change. Start with the Essential Cremation, then add a Simple Celebration later without cancelling your plan. You can do this yourself, or your family can when the time comes. Additional costs apply.

What's included:

• A cremation at one of our 45 crematoria, which you choose. We carry it out ourselves, at our own crematoria.
• Collection of the person who has died, at any time, in a private ambulance, into our own care.
• A coffin, and everything the cremation needs.
• The ashes brought back to you by hand, or scattered in our gardens of remembrance.
• Our Simplicity Saints on hand, and all the paperwork handled.

Not included: there's no service and no one attends. There's no visiting before the cremation, no hearse, limousine, flowers or celebrant, and no embalming. Collection is also not included if the death happens outside mainland Great Britain.

"Save over £2,000"

A Simplicity cremation does not include a ceremony (there is no hearse, limousine or flowers, and no celebrant or attendees at the crematorium) and so costs less than a traditional attended funeral. A traditional funeral costs an average of £4,510 (SunLife Cost of Dying Report 2026).
